It’s a sad day in the live-streaming world as a major service says goodbye. Botisimo recently announced it would be shutting down its ChatBot and Sponsorship programs. I’ll show you how to export your ChatBot Commands and Timers and give you some options for new ChatBots to take up the task of moderating and interacting with your LiveStream chat.
The announcement came out first on Discord and was then emailed to users over the past few days, 11/03/2023 12:57 PM.
Botismio Says Goodbye
Hey @everyone
Discord message from OtotheA
Important Announcement: We are posting this announcement to inform you that we’ll be discontinuing the Botisimo chatbot and sponsorships, beginning on December 1, 2023. This is not an announcement we ever hoped to make, but after careful consideration we have decided that it is the right for us to shift our resources and focus on other initiatives. We want to express our immense gratitude to all of you who have been with us on this incredible journey for the past 6 years, especially those who have been a part of our Botisimo Pro membership community. Your support has been the lifeblood of Botisimo. If you currently have an active subscription, rest assured that you will not be billed again. For those with annual subscriptions that extend beyond December 1, 2023, we will be issuing refunds for any unused time beyond that date. Additionally, we are committed to processing all sponsorship payouts for compliant creators, covering impressions delivered through December 1, 2023. Thank you for being a part of the Botisimo family. Your support has been invaluable to us.
How To Export Your ChatBot Commands
It’s unclear currently what direction the company is taking but unfortunately, what is clear is you have less than a MONTH to save your commands and get them set up somewhere else before they stop working. So let’s get to it
First Log in to Botisimo and locate the ‘Commands’ tab in the left side navigation bar.
Click Commands
At the Top find the Download CSV Icon (A down arrow pointing toward a rectangle)
Click this and save it to your local drive.
This is a CSV file that can be read/imported by any spreadsheet program (Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, Apple Numbers, Airtable, etc). I’ll be using Google Sheets.
Inside the spreadsheet program select the Import option. You’ll be prompted with the options of ‘Import Location’ and ‘Seperator Type’.
For Import Location, you can leave ‘Replace Spreadsheet’ if you’ve already created a new sheet, or select ‘Create New Spreadsheet’.
For Seperator Type; Default will probably do fine. However we already know Botisimo is using commas, so select ‘Comma’ and click ‘Import Data’
After a few seconds, your data will populate the spreadsheet with all of the specifications to each individual command (Timers will be similar).
Primarily you’ll be looking for the 3 columns that fall in the center of the values, following the platforms; Columns Q, S and R, labelled userLevel, name and response
userLevel shows who the command was available to, Everyone, Moderators, Streamer, etc
Name is the command prompt that triggers the ‘Response‘
You can now copy/paste these into your chosen Chatbot.
So What Chatbots Should I use?
In my YouTube video, I talk about a couple of ChatBot options Nightbot.tv and MixItUp App. Nightbot is a cloud-based solution and Mixitup is run locally on your streaming computer.
I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any questions. If you found this helpful, then follow me here and on Youtube.com/samproof
